Beth Prescott
Programme Lead
Before coming to the CSJ, I led the policy and PR work at a UK-wide children’s charity which runs programmes supporting children and families facing a wide variety of issues including food insecurity, school exclusion, emotional wellbeing and educational disadvantage, among others. I have also previously worked as a Fundraising Project Manager for a UK-wide poverty-relief charity and in the Parliamentary office of a government minister. I have spoken at events and churches of varying sizes across the UK, be it promoting the work of charities or on other subjects, and I stood as a Parliamentary candidate in the 2015 and 2017 General Elections.
I joined the CSJ to get alongside them in their mission to bring social justice to the heart of politics and policy. I have always been driven to play my part in breaking down the inequalities and injustices across society that begin from the moment someone is born. I know, through my previous experiences, that these inequalities can be overcome by transformative work and support that meets people’s individual needs, equipping and enabling them to flourish at every life stage. I joined the CSJ to do my bit to input into and shape policies that will bring this about on a national stage.
Something you might not know about me
I am a (long-suffering!) season ticket holder at Huddersfield Town.
