Mark Libby
Regional Manager (North East)
My path to the CSJ has been driven by personal experience. Growing up in North England and studying in Newcastle, my initial career was in Investment Management. Life had other plans however. My journey highlighted many of the challenges and struggles prevailing in society, opening my eyes to the sharp divide across communities and the disadvantages experienced by many. The trap of poverty and deprivation, societal imbalance, and the shortcomings of modern society became very clear.
Drawing on this new perspective, I redirected my career toward achieving meaningful change and positive social outcomes. Real problems exist which need to be fixed, but a disconnect and lack of awareness fail to unite the right people, organisations, and capital. The CSJ bridge this gap and provide a needed voice.
Building a relationship with the CSJ helped visualise the direction for my career and I was delighted to join the team in May 2022 as a Regional Manager. The North East has a deep personal connection having spent much of my adult life in and around Newcastle across various settings. It is a great privilege to connect with organisations and individuals across the region in pursuit of better outcomes and meaningful change for the community.
