I work at the CSJ because I believe in harnessing the power and experience of grassroots charities to inform national decision making. As the Managing Director of the CSJ Foundation, my primary role is to lead the organisation in its exciting first phase of life as we seek to elevate the impact and influence of frontline charities.

Prior to joining the CSJ Foundation I was the Chief Operating Officer at the Legatum Institute, a London-based international think-tank that seeks to further discussion around human development and national prosperity. Prior to that I was the Chief Operating Officer at the CSJ and before that I led the policy team that produces an annual global Prosperity Index™.

In addition to my work at the CSJ Foundation I run the Atlantic Partnership, an organisation established over 20 years ago that seeks to develop and maintain a strong relationship between the transatlantic group of nations.

Something you might not know about me

I co-founded the Courage in Journalism Award, an initiative that promotes media freedom around the world and honours journalists who have been killed as a direct consequence of their journalism.
