Do we need a new vision to support the victims of modern slavery? | Webinar
There are more than 100,000 victims of modern slavery in the UK. The crime is flourishing but when the exploited are found, they are often not provided with the support they need – meaning they can’t rebuild their lives and those responsible are getting away with the crime.
Over the last year we have been speaking to survivors, the police, other frontline professionals and charities engaged in the fight against modern slavery. We have uncovered a broken system, but what should be done to fix it? Watch this debate to hear from those working at the frontline of modern slavery in Britain, the research team’s insights into this pernicious crime, and what we need to do next to bring the criminals to justice.
