Response to the Ministry of Justice consultation on ‘Strengthening probation, building confidence’.

Introduction

The Centre for Social Justice welcomes the desire on the part of Government to consult on and review
the approach taken to the delivery and organisation of probation services across England and Wales.
We also believe that there is a considerable opportunity ahead to confront and resolve the challenges
facing the probation service, and, in doing so, to help change lives, reduce crime, and protect the
public.
